Circles

While working on my most recent project, I realized that I needed a group created. But, I’ll spare you from techno babble by simply saying, due to SOX requirements, I can’t do this task myself. I needed to get someone else to do it.

I asked my boss who I should call to get this taken care of. He informed me that the person I needed to contact is this guy named Jeff who is located in DC. Okay, not a problem.

So, I tried to get in touch with Jeff. I called him three or four times and sent him an email. He finally responds the following morning by sending me an email referring me to one of his underlings in DC; a guy named Tad.

Fine. I sent an email to Tad. I also called him two times. Finally, on the third call, I was able to get through to him. After listening to my problem for a couple minutes, he informed me that he would not be able to help me. However, he said that he would find out who I needed to contact. Sigh, fine. A couple hours later, he sent me an email letting me know I should contact a guy named Joe in DC.

So, I started calling Joe. I get through to him on the third call. After spending about 10 minutes trying to explain what I needed, Joe said, “Okay, I’m going to refer you to Marcus. I’d like him to sit down with you so that he can understand exactly what you need cause I’m not quite sure myself. But he should be able to get you taken care of. Do you know Marcus?”

To which I replied, “Yeah, I know Marcus. He sits right next to me.”
